Road Marking 2008
ROAD MARKING 2008 - MARKING OUT A SAFER FUTURE
With a new Road Safety Strategy due for development and implementation post 2010, specialists in the field, both clients and contractors are increasingly looking at the role played by basic infrastructure in saving lives on our roads. The debate is quickly moving on from the ‘soft’ design considerations of 2007’s Manual For Streets to the harsh realities of how we can reduce the 10,000 deaths and serious injuries annually occurring on our road network and the critical role that basic infrastructure improvements infeatures such as road markings will play.
Road Marking 2008 – Marking Out a Safer Future, the 11th Annual RSMA Conference provided all of those involved in this safety critical industry the opportunity to hear the latest thinking, participate in developing future policy and since it runs alongside the first 'Seeing is Believing' Exhibition, to actually see the impact of some of the products that could make Britain’s roads safer for all users.
Our Speakers this year are those likely to be at the fore of road safety policy and practice over the next 10 years influencing accident reduction in that period - be part of that solution by being part of Road Marking 2008.
The 11th Annual RSMA Conference provided the opportunity to hear the latest thinking, participate in developing future policy and help define the sector’s input into the next Road Safety Strategy due for development and implementation post 2010.
With influential speakers and policy developers presenting their views and seeking your opinions ‘Marking Out a Safer Future’, was probably the most important RSMA Conference we’ve ever organised.
SEEING IS BELIEVING - HIGHWAYS LIVE
We are delighted to have worked in partnership with ‘Seeing is Believing’ the most exciting and innovative highway’s event in the UK, providing those involved in the road marking sector with the opportunity to see live demonstrations of in situ high performance markings and their impact and interaction with other elements of infrastructural road safety.
Organised by UK Roads Ltd & the Passive Revolution, in association with Highways Magazine - 'Seeing is Believing' included an undercover exhibition and outdoor day and night time demonstration of both reflective and directly illuminated highway products.
RSMA Delegates received free tickets for ‘Seeing is Believing’, with additional exclusive access to the track on the morning prior to the Road Marking 2008 Conference. With the support of our sponsors we have also reduced the cost of attending Road Marking 2008 by 25% from last year’s conference.
